I am Rebecca; professionally trained chef, wife, mother and advocate for delicious, sustainable foods. I am always thinking about my next meal!

I adore cooking and have always been the kind of cook that uses every pot, pan and work surface in the kitchen. I live to create dishes that excite the people I feed. I once heard a friend squeal with delight when she ate a meal I had prepared for our children’s playdate – that’s what I aim for – food that brings joy!

In 2005-2006 I decided I’d had enough of the day job (accounting) and I trained at one of the best culinary schools in the world; Leith’s School of Food and Wine, in London. It was one of the best years of my life! Whilst at Leith’s, I gained some fantastic skills and I learned that anyone can follow a recipe but, when it comes to creating a truly wonderful dish, you really have to know what to do with the ingredients to bring out the best in them.

The recipes I have created on this site come with tips and guidance because I think everyone deserves to have a few outrageously good meals in their repertoire. So, whatever your dietary requirement or preference, whether you’re omni, veggie, vegan, gluten free etc. I know that a good meal isn’t JUST about good quality ingredients, it’s also about how the meal is prepared and about the love that is put in. These things are key to creating aromas, colours, textures and taste. And once the meal is served – it’s all about that taste!
