I’ve had a juicer for a couple of years now and I still use it regularly (I do love a kitchen gadget). I initially purchased the juicer when my husband and I went through a phase of replacing some of our meals with juices in an effort to lose weight. It was a delicious way to trim down but I decided that I missed solid food after a while.
Well, we both had COVID a couple of months back and my husband in particular suffered quite a lot. This is quite common if you are overweight. After visiting the doctor he was told that his blood pressure was a little high too. So naturally, poor health has really made him rethink his diet.
Andrew had read that reducing dairy intake, eating more fruit and veg and weight loss are all good ways to lower blood pressure and so his morning cereal (with milk) is now being replaced by a glass of this gorgeous juice several times a week. So far his weight is down and the blood pressure is heading in the right direction too. Touch wood we can keep it going!
I hope you enjoy the instruction video (I had fun making it). The juice should keep in the fridge for 2-3 days. Give it a shake or stir before use because it does separate after a while.
The juicer I have used is a Morpilot and I’m very happy with it. It’s not a super duper expensive one that you can feed whole carrots into, but it does the job nicely. Peel and slice all your fruit and veg before you get juicing and then enjoy watching with fascination just how much juice you can extract from different veggies.
